13 kms, and more

Last Sunday was one of my long distance runs after what may be a five-year hibernation (again? as this is how history will depict my love affair with running). Don’t remember exactly, ganun katagal na kase. Last was the 2010 Globe – Ayala Land Run for Home. But am pleased to be back. This is in line with my quest to fulfill my second Asian full marathon in the coming soon. Ayaw ko atang maunahan ni Papa P in his target to go for three Asian marathons noh! Weh, di nga?J Thanks to Swity who has been very persistent in calling every body and even manipulating the Yaps to cover breakfast for every one in the what seemed to be a “mini” fun run last Sunday. Well, a lot of the unexpected happened. Rinna, who planned to only run seven, was forced to go the extra five kilometers to accompany me, at least that’s what I thought, though she left me to run with hubby Boss Red. Ang bagal ko kase, hihi.;) Noel of Precy had to go back twice to fetch me and make sure am still alive and punting. Team Captain AJ had no choice but to wait up also as his partner Noel had to go back for me in the wild. Haha. Ganun ako kalakas sa Team Clark. Or Rather, that’s how gallant Team Clark is to its members. Let me tell you a story concerning my first full marathon in the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. There were five of us who went for the Asian full, and I was the last to come in. Pleased to see AJ at the Finish Line, who waited up with the gang, my heart melted with much affection for them. Only, AJ started talking in German as he was telling me not to ever do what I did without training for it, that’s while crossing the streets of Merlion. To which Boss Billy refuted with a, “Eugene, sabihin mo nga sa kanya kung papaano nakakatapos ng marathon, na walang practice?” Well, that’s just Boss Dude lightening up the state of affairs, as always, when there is a sermon going on. ;)p Well said. Normally, that’s how it is.;)p Tago ka na kay Capitan. Anyway, that’s just one of the legendary tales. Going back to last Sunday’s event, we are charmed to be with more of the very competent and passionate teams in the running community, with the “never say die” attitude. Thank you, Clark Roadrunners. Thank you Team Camanava, (I just hope I got that correctly). As the saying goes, Keep Running!;p
