Forever and A Day by Cathy Garcia-Molina

uhm…. Writing that is like the most natural thing for me. Feeling close, ha ha. Anyways, I watched the movie yesterday. It is surprisingly a good film. That’s what I told the Star Cinema interviewer as my friend and I stepped out of the Glorietta cinema. Di kaya dahil kame lang ang tawa ng tawa paglabas? Ah-uhm. The first question was, obviously, “How did you find the film?” Followed by a very inquisitive, “how come it is surprisingly a good movie?” uhm.... pahirap ng pahirap…. In fairness, parang pang-C. B. Richard Ellis ang tanong…. Speechless na nga e! “I can’t explain!” “Completely overwhelming!”, that I should have said. But, nah-ah, that would totally destroy me. Baka isipin pa nya overly in need of attention ako…Sayang naman pa-intelligent effect pa naman ako. English, dapat English-speaking ako!:) “Well, uhm, it’s a KC-Sam Milby movie. You would really think it’s a pa-tweetums film that was just made to make money. But no, lo and behold, it isn’t a tad that. Kaya, I find that really surprising. The movie has heart. Gamut of emotions slithering unexpectedly to your subconscious until it touches your lacrimal duct that you unrelentingly give in to sobbing. All throughout the film, I can’t say am too engrossed, coz am partaking attention to this young boy who kept on running on the isle next to mine with no slippers. (te, mahaba ang bahay nila ha?) All the same, going back to the movie….it had that unexplainable effect on me that it is very easy for me to make an inference from where i’ve wander off in glaring at the boy to the scene unfolding before me. Basta, nakaka-relate ako. Eugene rin ba naman pangalan ni Milby dun. Though Sam did improve a lot. Pangit lang nga ang form nya ng pagtakbo. Sana man lang nagpaturo sya kay Bull Runner.:) I am a bonafide runner. Forgive me for being highly critical, ha ha.

An exchange between the two characters in the movie which really touched me was done on that winding road of CDO. That was exactly the teaser of Forever which was the sole magnet for me to watch it. “Kaya mo bang mahalin ang taong alam mo na mawawala lang sa’yo?” That did it for me. No kidding. Am a drama-queen. That is, apart from being a crook.;) And I just came back from a long haul vacation. I know the least bit about it. Yep, the teaser was a come-on in itself. Which I find extraordinarily cool. Meaning, this time, the producers, or the marketing department, did not use any of the usual commercial baloney just to entice the common tao. However, just-for-my-part-answer to that particular question of Raffy to Euge, I give my all mighty “YES.” I love passionately.
