Intro Dive July 2008 |
@ the South Point Divers clubhouse, we were met by dive master Paul and his men, who gave us our short instructional after our respiring view of Sarangani Bay and the Sulawesi sea.
I was ready with my diving garb underneath my pants and shirt. Ready to try any thing once.
I initially met a lion fish, played with Nemo and his Mama, and a school of fish hurrying to university.
South Point Divers covets the best diving location which is the huge Tinoto Wall. This runs about 10 kilometers along the bay in front of the clubhouse. The wall drops off well over 50 meters about 10 to 20 meters from shore. There is a short ledge in the wall then it continues to drop down to 300 meters or more, well beyond diving limits. Kindly refer to http://www.southpointdivers.ph/. I so figured this out as I swam towards it but took a right turn to reality cum safety check. I am a novice diver. Hopefully next time, when am more eligible.;D I have full trust in my dive master. But I wouldn’t want him in hot water.;))
Fortunate I consider it, my intro dive didn’t require the usual boat trip to a dive spot minutes away. At South Point Divers, you can do a shore entry to diving. Eloquent convenience to rookies such as myself.
I know, I know, my heartfelt muchos gracie to master Paul D. Partridge is kinda delayed waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay a bit (as this happened July of 2008;). But, still, as the saying goes, “better late than never” is the mantra.((;
South Point Divers is located at the Tampuan Point, Brgy. Kamanga, Municipality of Maasim , Sarangani Province , Philippines . E: south_point_divers@yahoo.com.
